1 pound of small pasta shells ( or any small pasta of your choice)
In a medium sized pot saute garlic and onion together until onion is translucent
DIVA'S PASTA & PEAS
2 tablespoons of oil
2 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 small onion ( chopped fine)
1/2 cup of chicken broth
1/4 cup of water
1 large can of peas ( including the liquid)
4 slices of proscuitto (hot or mild.. chopped)
3 slices of pepperoni ( chopped )
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
1/4 cup of grated cheese ( of your choice )
3/4 cup of prepared italian tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
add proscuitto and pepperoni together proceeding to add tomato sauce,water,chicken broth and peas
also adding the rest of the above ingredients to this mixture
cook for about 25 minutes
prepare pasta as directed on package
drain well
pour this mixture onto the cooked pasta and blend thoroughly,
Serve as a side dish with any entree
NOTE: may substitute pasta with rice if desired
