3-4 pounds of pot roast
In a large dutch pan heat oil, add celery and onions. sautee until onions become translucent.
DIVA'S POT ROAST
1 package of pot roast mix seasoning
1 large onion (chopped)
2 stalks of celery (chopped)
3 tablespoons of oil
1 pound of fresh carrots cut into 1 2 inch pieces
1 12-14 oz. can of diced tomatoes (may substitute a can of tomato soup)
1 can of brown gravy
8 ounces of water
1/4 cup of red wine (optional)
salt and pepper to taste to your liking
Add roast beef..browning lightly on both sides.
Then add tomatoes,wine, carrots. and brown gravy, also adding the 8 ounces of water.
Season with salt and pepper,stirring well.
Cover and simmer on low heat for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is to your liking
I like mine to be falling apart, where not even a knife is needed to cut the beef.
Serve with your favorite rice, potato, or noodles.
