DIVA'S 7-UP CAKE

3 cups of sugar
5 large eggs
3 cups of flour
3 sticks of good quality margarine
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of grind lemon peel
1 cup of 7-up soda (pop)

*Note: ALL INGREDIENTS SHOULD BE ROOM TEMPERATURE

Cream marargine until light, add in sugar and beat until fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then add in one cup flour then add extract and a little 7 up
continue adding flour alternating with 7 up until all ingredients are used and batter is smooth.
Batter will be very thick.
Pour into greased and floured tube or bundt pan and bake in a preheated oven at 275 degrees oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes, or until inserted knife comes out clean.
Allow to cool in pan (baking time could be longer, depending on pan used).
Remove from pan while still warm but not hot.
This cake is best dusted with 10x sugar when completely cooled and not iced with frosting.
