The Vault; Trivia Tournament

The Vault is starting a new tradition.

Every month at a predecided date there will be a trivia tournament to test your knowledge of the band, the music, and the lifestyle. If you can answer most of these sample questions (somewhat arranged by difficulty), you will do fine.

1. What was John's middle name?

2. What was the name of the club the Beatles played at before they hit it big?

3. Which of these former Beatles is dead?
a. Stuart Sutcliffe
b. Pete Best

4. What was the name of Paul's sheepdog? Hint: He named a song after her.

5. On Anthology 2, there is a take of 'And Your Bird Can Sing' which is complete, but could never be released because there is a 'disturbance' in the recording. What is this disturbance?

6. Where did George write 'Here Comes the Sun'?

7. What did John say was the 'mistake' he made in Revolution #9?

8. The working title for 'Love You To' was 'Granny Smith'. When George said he didn't know what to call the song that eventually (quite cleverly) became 'I Don't Know', then finally 'I Want To Tell You', what did John suggest the working title of the song should be?

9. Later in the Beatles' career, the Beatles were recording a certain song. During an early take of this song, John ironically complained about too much of a certain influence. What was the title of the song, and what kind of influence did John want to avoid?

10. On what song was Ringo credited with playing Hammond organ, but the organ is not audible on the recording?
