profile: sailor uranus senshi: sailor uranus is, more often that not, referred to as the senshi of the wind. however, she is actually the senshi of the heavens. she definately has connections with the wind, but not as sailor uranus. i would venture to say that haruka in her civialian form is a personification of the wind, but that's a whole different story. ^_^ her powers are not wind-based. in fact, they are space-based. why are her attacks space-based? in mythology, uranus is connected with astronomy. also, in greek mythology, one of the muses, urania, happens to be the muse of astronomy. and if you didn't know already, sailor moon is -full- of references to greek and roman mythology. so there you go. henshin: to transform into sailor uranus, haruka yells out "uranus planet power, make-up!" attacks: world shaking: people seem to disagree on this attack's element. i've done a lot of thinking about this one and i've come up with a new theory. the name 'world shaking', and the fact that it has earthquake effects, would lead you to believe it is an earth-based attack. but now it has dawned on me that it is a space attack, and it's quite simple. when she lifts her hand she's simply summoning energy. that's it, just energy, not air or whatever else you might think. and when this energy is released, since she's the senshi of the heavens, she's able to 'shake' the planet. for those who might be confused, she is not the senshi of heaven (as in heaven and hell). the heavens is space, y'know stars and planets and whatever. space sword blaster: this is her other attack. it's pretty simple as well. she uses her talisman, the space sword, to 'blast' energy at the enemy, without actually having to strike the enemy. personality: sailor uranus is probably the most aggressive of the senshi. she is also the strongest, physically (not in terms of her powers). she never hesitates in a fight, and seems anxious to attack. she is extremely dedicated to her mission (sailor moon s), and will do anything to save the world - including sacrificing herself and her girlfriend, sailor neptune (michiru). haruka didn't want to accept her destiny as a senshi at first, because she was afraid it would ruin her dream of becoming a world famous car racer. but after she accepted it, she became very serious in her mission. sailor uranus comes across as cold and heartless to some, but she isn't really. to her, the mission comes first, and she does whatever she feels is necessary to complete it. later, however, haruka feels very guilty about her actions as a senshi.
