The past of Slayer, like many of his fellow DJO members, is shrouded in mystery. He was born years ago on a harsh desert planet in the Unknown Regions. At the age of two, his parents dropped him off at a temple that belonged to an Order of Force Users known as the Monks of Shimmura on an unknown planet that is believed to be even more remote and further out from the Core of the galaxy than the Unknown Regions. It is believed that these Monks are direct descendants of a group of Jedi that left the Order thousands of years ago because they disagreed with the Jedi Philosophy and way of life. About six months after he was mysteriously abandoned by his parents, the monks began training him in the ways of the Force and giving him extensive training in a discipline of deadly martial arts that they refuse to name or give a title to because they believe titles are useless and have no meaning. At the age of 22, after successfully mastering the use of the Force and the mysteriously unnamed martial arts of the Monks, he decided to leave the Temple and go explore the galaxy. After two years of wandering the galaxy Slayer came across a planet named Troszen. After distinguishing himself by foiling an assassination attempt single handedly by the Kaytermans on the Royal Family, he joined the Royal Bodyguards and has been in their service ever since. Besides using the Force and martial arts, Flip is an expert in melee weaponry and is known to be especially proficient in the use of lightsabers. He has two red lightsabers that he has clipped to a belt on his waist. Except for the use of lightsabers and his X-wing and R9 unit, Slayer almost never uses any other technology in combat. The Force and his martial arts training is all that he needs and uses to defeat his foes. The Force skills that he is proficient in and uses the most frequently are TK and the control of the forces of nature. Unlike the Grifter who has proficient speaking skills, Slayer is the silent but deadly type. He can always be seen accompanying his fellow DJO members and watching in the shadows, ready to strike with lethal proficiency whenever the DJO goes into battle, which, considering their war-like nature, is quite frequently.
