  Born on Tatooine to a pair of cantina owners, Kurrimine lived a seemingly normal childhood.Her parents nicknamed her Footsteps because she was always up to something and they could always hear her footsteps hustling about. The nickname was later shortened to steps. When she was 11, her parents were killed in a seemingly normal bar fight which she had not witnessed, a regular patron had told her of it

.         Unable to remain on Tatooine, she snuck aboard a cargo ship destined for Correlia. There she lied about her age and got a job working for the shipping company, The Silvery Moon. After working her way up in the company, about five years later, she was part owner and did a bit more travelling,eventually going back home. On Tatooine, having not known of her parents past, she did a bit of research and discovered that her parents had been jedi, hiding from the powerful sith Darth Zander and Zander's agents had killed her parents. Astonished by this news, she sold the cantina and inn her parents had owned, appointing someone else to run the company, and flew to Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi like her parents were.

       Arriving at the Temple, Steps was soon apprenticed to Jedi Master Kariha Fortune. She started out her training like any other jedi padawan but was soon irritated by the huge number of rules she was expected to follow. While her master was away, Steps broke one of the rules and started seeing Dylan Storm.When Kariha returned, she was disappointed in Steps' disobeyment and refused to train her unless she stopped seeing Dylan. At this time, Steps was invited to become a DJO. Torn between her feelings for Dylan, her commitment to the order, and her anger at her master for holding her back, Steps agreed and left the jedi.

         Steps and Dylan eventually brokeup and she is currently enjoying living in the CCC and training with the DJO, hoping to become a full fledged member soon.
