CAST:

Dustin Hoffman - Willy Loman

Kate Reif - Linda Loman

John Malkovich - Biff Loman

Stephen Lang - Happy

Charles Durning - Charley

A made-for-tv-film based on the play. John does a wonderful job in the film. He plays the role of the lost, struggling, misguided Biff, trying to find his place in life. He makes you want to cry for his misfortune, and cheer for his efforts. The scene where he discovers his father is cheating on his mother is one of Malkovich’s best! Here are some pictures from the film

Mary Reilly

Julia Roberts - Mary Reilly

John Malkovich - Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde

George Cole - Mr. Poole

Michael Gambon - Mary's Father

Kathy Staff - Mrs. Kent

Glenn Close - Mrs. Farraday

John does an uncomfortably good job portraying the abusive, evil Mr. Hyde and the confused, struggling Dr. Jekyl. He has you hating him one second and feeling deeply for him the next. He and Mary have a great on screen presence, which makes you hope everything turns out alright. Some pics from the film.

Mulholland Falls

Der Unhold/The Ogre

Portrait of a Lady

Con Air

CAST:

Nicolas Cage - Cameron Poe John Cusack - Vince Larkin

John Malkovich - Cyrus The Virus

Steve Buscemi - Garland Greene

Ving Rhames - Diamond Dog

Not the greatest film, but Steve and John acting is a good as ever. Cameron is a con, being released after eight years in prison for protecting his wife against some thugs and acidentally killing one. He is being flown home on a plane full of criminals, including the extremely dangerous Cyrus, who has been chained, mussled and caged. The criminals happen to take over the plane, under Cyrus and it’s up to Cameron to get the bad guys under control and save the day. A picture of Cyrus, looking bad!

Man in the Iron Mask *

Leonardo Dicaprio - King Louis and Phillipe.

John Malkovich - Athos

Jeremy Irons - Aramis

Gerard Depardieu - Porthos

Gabriel Byrne - D' Artagnan

Anne Parillaud - Queen Anne

Though I despise Leonardo Dicaprio as a rule, his acting in this film was pretty good. And, lets face it, almost everyone is this film is extremely good-looking and they are all awesome and seasoned actors. This film is based on an true entry from the Bastille, that spoke of a prisoner in an iron mask. This film suggest that prisoner is the twin brother of King Louis, hidden away because the former king didn’t want any competition between his sons over the thrown. The three musketeers, plus D’Artagnan take it upon themselves to replace the cruel, despicable Louis with the kinder Phillipe. Some pictures from the film:

Rounders

Ladies Room

Being John Malkovich *

CAST:

John Cusack - Craig Schwartz

Catherine Keener - Maxine Lund

Cameron Diaz - Lotte Schwartz

There couldn’t possibly be a stranger film, and that makes it twice as much fun! In this film Craig is a struggling puppeteer who is prodded by his wife, Lotte, into take a filing job, since no one will recongnize his talent. He begins work on the strange seven and a half floor, where everyone must walk around bent over. There, he meets Maxine, a beautiful, cold co-worker, who rebuffs all his advances. One day, Craig discovers a small doorway that leads to a tunnel…which leads into John Malkovich’s head! Soon, Maxine and Craig are selling the adventure to others who long to be someone else. Of course, when Mr. Malkovich finds out about this, he’s less than pleased! Things get even crazier when Maxine falls in love with Lotte , but only while Lotte is in Malkovich’s brain! Pictures

The Messenger *

Le Temps retrouvé

RKO 281

James Cromwell - William Randolph Hearst

Michael Cronin - Joe Willicombe

Liam Cunningham - Gregg Toland

Melanie Griffith - Marion Davies

John Malkovich - Herman Mankiewicz

Roy Scheider - George Schaefer

Liev Schreiber – Orson Wells

This is a surprisingly good film, about the making of the film ‘Citizen Kane’ and William Hearst’s attempts to stop the movie from being show. John’s character has a moderately large part and he does a good job making the character more than the script did. I have no pictures of this film.
