Mick spent 4 years in the Air Force,
then worked as Deputy Sheriff
in Nashville, TN, for one year
went to Vanderbilt U nights,
took journalism,
switched to day classes,
gave up his badge,
got a job at the
Nashville Tennessean newspaper,
then BS, then got his
Masters from Vanderbilt.
Miami Herald reporter,
University of Miami journalism instructor,
Miami Herald news editor,
Reuters News Service,
NY Times book stats compiler,
freelance writer,
freelance editor.
Married to his wife Linda,
lives in Tallahassee, FL.
