Stay with me my Anam Cara
My precious Lord of the Dance
For I long to stay with thee
Until forever has slowly passed
We are joined inexplicably
Although we have never touched
We are both children of the Moon you see
Driven by a tide of emotion
That is stronger than the wind
And deeper than the ocean

You must know I need you so
My restless soul must travel on
Only to return to discover
That all I ever needed was you
So let the wind blow and let the rain fall
It has always been you or nothing at all
My beautiful angel, my love so true

That July month seems so far away
When again I hope you'll dance my way
Closer to you than ever before
Is where I'll remain forever more
I know what life is,
life is what you breathe in me
You have the amazing gift
that seems to set me free
I pray that death
won't mean the end,
in heaven I'll see you once more
I was so happy to find you,
you are everything I hoped for
Even in my dreams I'll protect
you and hold you tight
And come the end of the night
time again I'll see the light
When your brilliant eyes smile
at me and awaken me to the day
It's this gift of love you
