Seventeen and pregnant, Felicia travels to England in search of her lover and is found instead by a helpful catering manager whose kindness masks a serial killer. RELEASED IN THE USA November 12,
1999 VIDEO/DVD The film has been released on video and DVD; the DVD includes a brief interview with Bob, and commentary from Atom Egoyan. After a rather lean patch in his career in the latter 1990's, Bob's performance as the catering manager/serial killer Joseph Hilditch came both as a pleasant surprise, and as an immediate reminder of the subtlety and control of which he's capable. Hilditch is a private, internal man, and with the intricate construction of the film by Atom Egoyan - flowing backwards and forwards in time, not always sure what we are seeing - Bob's ability to express the many layers of this man's manipulative, damaged psyche, all held under an ever-placid surface, is even more remarkable.
