SPIKE THE CHARACTER
James Marsters plays Spike. A mean vampire who already has the deaths of two slayers on his credit. Once known as William, the Bloody, Spike was named for his vicious tactics of killing with railroad spikes. Throughout the second season, we have seen him go through many struggles, especially with his love, Drusilla.
When Spike and Drusilla first entered the Buffy scene, Drusilla was weak after an attack by an angry mob. Spike's purpose for moving to Sunnydale was to make her strong. While trying to restore her strength and kill her sire, Angel, Buffy came in to ruin the fun. Drusilla however, was restored to full power, but Spike was crushed under a large organ.
The organ accident left Spike in a wheelchair with a scared face. Drusilla, now strong has the intentions to take over the world. When Angel reverted back to the evil Angelus, he slowly took Drusilla away from a defenseless Spike. In Becoming (the season finale two-parter) Spike joined forces with Buffy to keep Angel from sucking the world into Hell. He revealed to Dru and Angel that he could walk by beating Angel with a crowbar. While Buffy and Angel fought, Spike took off with Drusilla and drove away from Sunnydale.
Spike's sire and converter was Drusilla, making Angel his grand-sire. Spike had great admiration for him as they were friends until Angel regained his soul. Spike has killed two slayer's in his day, and he always points that out. He has no feelings for anyone but himself and his former lady friend Drusilla. He was eager to get Drusilla back to strength, by capturing Angel and creating the ceremony to do so. The gang of Buffy and her Slayerettes stopped the ceremony by bringing down the old church that they were in on top of them, but not before restoring her power and putting himself in a wheel chair. Spike remained in the wheel chair for some time, basically until he went to talk to Buffy about getting Dru back and stopping Angel. He sided with Buffy and gave Angel a good beat down until he left Buffy and Angel alone to fight one another. He does not know that Angel is turned back or that he is still alive, but he knows that Buffy is alive as the world was not swallowed by Acathla. Look for Spike to return and to cause trouble in Sunnydale.

SPIKE SPEAKS
According to James Marsters, who plays Spike, he'd just love to sink his teeth into an episode that unveils the secrets of his character's past. We say bring it on, and make it a two-parter! Though it seems that Spike may have hit rock bottom in his current, harmless state, according to Marsters, you ain't seen nothin' yet (see spoilers below if you dare).
The stuff we've seen already pales in comparison to what he'll go through in the future episodes. And now that the actor has smooched with both Drusilla and Buffy, just who is the best kisser?
Well, just ask Selma Blair. Sarah Michelle Gellar wins best lip-locker/face-sucker, hands down.
Oh and if you thought you saw James in House on Haunted Hill as a camera man in the begining your RIGHT!!!
