Woohoo! Black&Blue is finally here! In fact, I'm listening to it right now.
I'm not going to review Black&Blue song by song, because I was very impressed with the entire album and have only praises. It wouldn't make for a very exciting review. I will, however, say that the album is amazing and is definitely worth your money. If you're sitting here reading this right now and you don't have the album, you need to turn off your computer and go buy it. The last track on the album is called "How did I Fall in Love With You." Howie wrote it, and it is the most beautiful song I have ever heard in my life.
Well since this section is called BSB Rants, I guess I better complain about something...hmmm...that's weird, I can't really think of anything right now. Nsync sucks. Okay I feel better now.
I went to go buy my album last night at Media Play because they were staying open until 12:30am to sell the BSB album. I got there around 11:45pm snatched up a copy and walked up to pay for it. The weirdo at the counter informed me that they couldn't sell the album to me until exactly 12:00am so I had to wait 15 minutes. He suggested that I go look at the BSB posters and books while I waited. I told him, "Well you would just love that so I can spend more money right?" He just smiled. Which is weird since I was being so bitchy. Anyway, I decided to wander around the store. Well that took about 5 minutes, so I headed back to the checkout counter to stand there and wait for midnight. Right when I got there, the doors open and about five girls, maybe 14 or 15 come running in followed by tired looking family members. The girls are covered with Backstreet gear: t-shirts, burger king crowns, necklaces, and stickers. They had "BSB" painted all over their faces and were screaming at the top of their lungs. Maybe they were under the impression that BSB was actually handing out the CDs. At any rate, they POSED FOR PICTURES by the rack of CDs....gay. Then they grabbed their CD's and various other BSB related items, and got in line behind me. Stuck between tired, grouchy parents, and screaming little girls, I started to curse my luck, but then I took a better look at each persons hands. Everyone around me had more than one copy of Black&Blue that they were purchasing. Some people had up to five or six copies. That makes me really hopeful that BSB will break Nsucks record for first week sales. I would get personal satisfaction out of that for at least a few days, so here's hoping. I only bought one copy last night, but I had previously considered buying more than one copy and donating it to a children's charity or something. I've since changed my mind. Screw the children. It's only been half a day and I'm getting tired of hauling my CD back in forth between my car, my room, and my Discman. I could have used some extras copies just for myself. Oh well. What can I say? I'm lazy.
Anyway, the album is awesome, and I of course recommend it. So get your ass out there and buy one!
