On the Stage of My Dreams
You walk on to the stage
and become the star
there's no doubt about it
this is who you are
Is it hard to believe
that it's really here?
Your dream you have had
for so many long years?
You waited your whole life to be there
an eternity it may seem
go ahead and have the time of your life
and live out your dream
I imagine you when you were my age
and I begin to see me
I'm hoping one day I will be on that same stage
But how long will it be?
One day it will happen
maybe out of the blue
But for now I just want to say
I'm glad it happened to you.
