In this interview
Jugal talks about his work in Mohabbatein and how he doesn't
mind being still associated with his childhood image. 'As
long as people remember me fondly...' says Jugal. 5. Which
director you think has brought out the best in you?
6. People still remember you for your role in Masoom. How does
it feel to be associated with your childhood image? 7. Forthcoming
movies?
This Page is still Under Construction
1. Did you go through any kind of formal training for acting?
No
I haven't had any formal training. I started acting at an early
age. Long back I had asked Naseeruddin Shah whether I should
join an acting school. He said that acting classes help you
get rid of your inhibitions by making you speak dialogues in
front of everyone. He was of the opinion that since I have already
been acting I didn't need to go to an acting school. Instead
he felt that I needed more experience, the more you work the
more you learn. He suggested that I should try the stage.
2.
So did you try the stage?
No
I did not...(with a smile on his face)
3.
From Masoom to Mohabbatein how has it been?
Very
enjoyable. So far I have had good experiences. I got to work
with some very talented people. Hope it goes on like this..
4.
Which one was your most enjoyable experience?
Actually I had good experiences with
all and most recently Mohabbatein. Both Aditya and Uday are
my old friends. I got to know Jimmy, Preeti, Kim and Shamita
and became good friends. It was a very young unit. There was
a lot of hard work but a lot of fun too..
I think Adi and Shekhar. Shekhar
because I was a kid and did not understand anything. Aditya
because of the way he prepared us. He narrated the story before
hand. Each character was spelt out to us. That helped bring
out whatever we could.
It is good because they remember me fondly. If they remembered
me in a bad way then I would be affected by it. I am very happy
the people liked the film, liked me. I didn't realize it then
but now when I look back I feel very proud to have been a part
of it.
I
haven't signed any movies as of now.
