The Basics
William is the older son of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. He was born on June 21, 1982 and was christened William Arthur Philip Louis. His parents were determined to make his life different than his father so when it came time for pre-school he left the palace. They chose Mrs. Mynor's Nursery School in Nottinghill Gate; Wills began there in 1985. In 1987, he left there and started at Wetherby School in Kensington. While at Wetherby William starred in a play and particiapted in athletics. In 1990 he went to his first boarding school at Ludgrove Prepatory School, partcipating in more sports and becoming a good student. In 1995 it was decided that William would attend the prestigious Eton College. Eton is probably the most famous school in England besides Oxford University but no future monarch had been educated there. Many feel that this school is far to arsticratic for the royal family's liking but the Queen allowed William to go there. He has excelled academically and physically, getting good grades and becoming captain of the swim team. He was also very popular socially, becoming a member of the Prefect Society. This allowed him to wear special vests(like the one shown here) and give academic fines to the younger boys. William graduated this summer and at this point he is in his gap year(don't get me started on this!). I heard that he is on a tropical island in Australia studying with the National Geographic Society. Next fall he will start University and I believe that it will be St. Andrews in Scotland. For right now William can live as he pleases but one day duty will call and he will have to save the crumbling monarchy.
p.s.- One of my best friends, Mary, will be marrying William, so girls don't even bother!!!!
