(Maverick/MJJ Records). JOJO hosted the 2000 Teen Magazine Maybelline
Great Model Search in June. He was also a presenter at last year's Hollywood
Reporter's Young Star Awards. In addition, JOJO can be seen in recent
issues of Teen Beat, All-Stars Teen Beat, Starz and EntertainmentTeen.
Currently in the works, JOJO has a lead role on the internet soap drama,
CyberHigh 2001. Also coming soon... JOJO will have his very own
column in Teen Magazine!
ON THE RADIO
JOJO began his radio careeer at a small station near his hometown of Houston,
TX. He then moved on to Kiss 102 in Charlotte, NC; Y-95 in Dallas, Q102
in Philadelphia, PA and WILD 107 in San Francisco, CA. JOJO is now at
KIIS-FM in Los Angeles and is considered to be the top night jock in the
country.
ON THE SCREEN
But that's only part of JOJO's story. JOJO came to L.A. to become... what
else... a waiter. Actually it was to further his acting career. Since
arriving in L.A. JOJO has had a lead role in an independent film "Prey"
in which he plays one half of a young couple on a camping trip gone bad...
really bad. Other projects include a supporting role in another independent
film "Cliff's Notes On: Romance" where JOJO's character comes
face to face with his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend...Ouch!! In
"More Than Lip Service" JOJO plays a waiter, but not just any
waiter, a terrible waiter! He almost poisons one of his customers, but
finally learns the tricks of the trade. Another date gone bad for JOJO
was when he appeared on NBC's "Unsolved Mysteries." JOJO plays
David Faraday, a 17-year old Vallejo, CA high scool student who becomes
the Zodiac Killer's first victim. Based on a true story from the late
1960's, David and his date were killed while parked at Lookout Road in
Northern California. JOJO also had a brief appearance on "Party Of
Five" in which he "kindly" tries to persuade Neve Campbell's
character Julia to be quiet during a concert...it doesn't work. During
the month of May, JOJO completed two new film projects, "Choppin'
Necks: The Revolt of Nat Turner" and "Pit Of Vipers." Another
true story, "Choppin' Necks" is based on a slavery revolt of
the 1830's. Sadly to say, JOJO is one of the victims. "Pit Of Vipers"
is a dark comedy in which JOJO portrays an unlikely Mafia member and his
attempt to carry out a hit wirth 10 million dollars. But a run of bad
luck and comedic mishaps make the job harder than he expects. Other credits
include: The host of "Dance Party USA" on the USA Network and
the voice on a nationally running Sprint television commerical.
