IZZARD'S COMEDY AMNESTY: Eddie Izzard was riding around London on a double decker bus today (Tuesday) promoting a massive comedy gig he's hosting for Amnesty International. It'll be at Wembley Arena on June 3rd. There's no line up as yet - but he promises big names in comedy and music. Meanwhile, Eddie's just finished filming with 'Friends' star Matt Le Blanc for the movie 'All The Queens Men'. Eddie told Radio 1 he was amazed that Matt gets stopped everywhere he goes: "He was recognised even in Hungary - lots of fans coming up saying 'You're in 'Friends' - you're Joey!' I pretended to be his manager just to give him a bit of space." BBC ONLINE |
ROCK ON: Well, we know where Eddie was January 16, 2001 (from LA@nite): But the real Manson afterparty took place later at the Beauty Bar. Looky-loos clamored out on the sidewalk in the cold hoping to gain entrance or merely get a peek inside of those "making the scene." And what a scene it was with British trannie comic Eddie Izzard, Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Eric from Hole and Rob Zombie. And unlike many band after-parties, the members of Marilyn Manson actually made it to the festivities including Manson himself. The post-show rocker seemed low key sporting a giant black cowboy hat, accompanied by girlfriend Rose McGowan and a few nervous bodyguards who helped Manson work his way through the crush of people until well after 2 a.m. Snippet first posted on CAKE OR DEATH |
THE VAMPIRE SLAYER..: Co-executive Producer Marti Noxon has once more been hinting at what's to come in episode 100 of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. Speaking to IGN Sci-Fi, Marti revealed: "Joss [Whedon] came in early with a notion of where we were going, and it's pretty huge... Because it's the 100th episode, he's aiming for a really huge climax. So everything's going to spin wildly out of control any minute. It's going to be cool. It's pretty major - that's all I can say!" In a rare visit to the official Buffy web site's ‘Bronze’ posting board, Marti also told of her dream guest star for the show: “I'd have to say my dream guest is Eddie Izzard. I would follow him to the ends of the earth.” BBC online |
ALL THE QUEENS MEN: There has been rumor of a possible U.S. relase date of May 26th 2001 though nothing official as yet |

VAMPIRE PACKS BIG BITE: Just when it appeared that the vampire genre of movies had grown stale, along comes the magnificent piece of work titled Shadow of the Vampire. The film's storyline involves a director, played by John Malkovich, who sets out to make a realistic vampire movie by employing an actual vampire. Unbeknownst to the cast and crew, the actor playing the vampire, played brilliantly by Willem Dafoe, is gradually devouring the production crew and causing havoc for the director. The film actually has a factual basis as far as the director and his vision, the real-life film Nosferatu, but the use of a real vampire is stretching history to a great degree in this case ENTERTAINMENTSLUETH.COM |

KEV THE DALEK!: Little bit of a blurb on the proposed DOCTOR WHO movie which mentions Eddie. ... Just when you thought it couldn't get any stranger. It all began when someone (perhaps Deadpool, but that's just a hunch) jokingly wrote a letter to the BBC Radio Times suggesting that at least if they were going to cast a woman as the Doctor, they might try cross-dressing Eddie Izzard and thus gain the best of both worlds. Ahem. So to speak. Then The News of the World attributed the same letter to a 'BBC insider' and treated it as the gospel according to Eddie. Um. Or something like that. And then the fans grabbed it and ran with it, causing heated discussions in Whovian lands around the world. [Special thanks to Cinescape Online for clearing the whole mess up. 'Widgett' reported it and feels much better now. He means it.] For the whole story...CORONA PRODUCTIONS |
