I started this website because I was amazed at John's devotion. I thought that he was the greatest male gymnasts I have ever seen. I really didn't know much about him. All I knew was that he was 30 years old and just made the Olympic team. I looked up websites on the internet and I didn't find one website on him. I thought that it would be a really cool idea if I made one to him. At the time I thought it would be easy, I guess I was wrong.
I was the first John Roethlisberger site on the web. I couldn't let more John fans be dissappointed in not finding a single John website. I know a LOT of people have come on this site since it's birth in the September-October area, 2000. Official Re-opened on May 9th, 2001. I didn't want it to be just like any other website out there so I thought I want this to be THE John site on the web. I don't think I've done too badly with it. I like to keep up with the news and I try to have the most information on him, but that's all I can do to keep it alive.
One day I wish that I could make it an official website with John's permission of course, but until then I'll just keep working on it. I hope you who have visted have enjoyed the site and maybe keep coming back. Until then, thanks for visitng! Hurdy Gur!!
I'm not sure when I started the site exactly. I'm sure it was after the Olympics and before the TJMaxx Tour I went to. It was in the September-October of 2000 range for sure though. If you would like to know why I started the page go see the why section.
This is what the first layout looked like. It was on Homestead. This one stayed up for the longest time. I really didn't like the site so I just let it rot. I realize Steve McCain is in the picture, but my sister and I had the exact same layout.
This is the second layout I had. I changed the layout so it would look like nicer page. I would change the background to go with the months. The layout changed in January 2001. It was a cute idea and then it just got boring and I really wanted to move. This one was also on Homestead.
This is the layout I changed it to. I like this one a lot. Mainly because of the drop-down menu. This one is on Angelfire now. This one will probably stay up for a while. A lot longer than my Homestead ones. This page was created on Nov. 30, 2000 and was lauched on May 9, 2001.
I hated this layout. It was so boring so I had to change it. I needed to change it because the other one was up since May.
This is the layout I have right now. I really don't care for it all that much, but I figured I couldn't stand the old one so I changed it. Then I couldn't stand this one so I changed it.
alas, I hated this one too. it was just so...boring. I thought it was a good idea, but it just didn't come off right and I wanted to change that asap. I had to move and it took a little longer than I thought, but I finally did change the layout again.
I like this one a lot better. I know that I say that now, but I do. This will prabably stay up for a while since I really don't have that much time to update. Just wanted John to have a fresh new look.
