Synopsis:

Justin Dawson is twenty-six and a successful London lawyer. He lives in a spectacular bachelor pad and has a beautiful girlfriend. Carl (Rhys) is Justin's twenty-four year old brother. He's a downtrodden Scunthorpe lawyer and he lives in a terraced house with his mothaving his mother and grey, mundane life behind, Carl discovers a side to Justin, far from the affluent corporate lawyer he secretly envied.

After meeting Justin's eclectic mix of friends, Carl's eyes are opened to the club scene that his brother was very much a part of. Sunny (Guillory), Justin's beautiful, classy girlfriend also discovers a hedonistic side to his life that she never figured in.

Carl and Sunny grow closer and together they share memories of Justin and his pipe dream of getting away from it all to start his own bar in Ibiza. When Tiffany (Masterson), a tough but troubled ex-model, arrives on the scene, she seems to know more about Justin than she's letting on.

Tiffany lives with the sinister and totally eccentric Damien (Curry), who runs the raves and supplies the drugs - the drugs that Tiffany uses to tempt Carl away from Sunny.

Damien is the arch manipulator and is only interested in masterminding Tiffany's seduction of Carl and his own seduction of Sunny - Tiffany is soon revealed as a pawn in Damien's game.

As they're drawn into a dangerous underground web of blackmail and deceit, Carl and Sunny realise they're in too deep and Carl is forced to question how far his perfect brother was involved and whether his death was really an accident.

Thrills, pills and fishnet tights

I play a young lad from the North of England who comes to London to investigate the dubious death of his brother, who turns out not to be the clean-cut boy we know and love.

He was tangled in a mess of club owners and drugs and two-timing girls, and has landed himself in it. My character, who is a nice, clean-cut boy, finds it's easy to slip into the mess. I liked the story, which was written by Alex Jovy, who also directs it, because it was edgy and real.

I got the script through my agent while I was making Metropolis, and on my day off went to read with my co-star, Sienna Guillory. I knew her only as the face of Hugo Boss, but others in the cast like Fay Masterson, Tim Curry and Jason Donovan I knew from seeing their past work.

Fay's done some big movies in Hollywood, Jason I had seen as a 16-year-old school kid on a coach trip from Cardiff to see a London production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Tim I'd seen on telly in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was quite funny eavesdropping on them when they were talking Rocky Horror. Jason had done Tim's Frank'N'Furter role on tour and they'd be sitting there discussing working in fishnets and dancing in high heels.

In Sorted, Jason plays Superwoman, a drag DJ, and Tim plays Damian, a bent drug-dealer. We had a few pill-disaster scenes. In one, a camera has to go into my mouth on a long lens following a pill and there was a moment when I thought it'd all spew out. And Tim had to force drugs - Smarties or vitamin pills or anything we would take - down our throats. Mainly we couldn't swallow them to order and we'd ruin the scene by coughing them up and laughing till we dropped.
