THE DAY I SAW THE DIANA NECKLACE:

My husband brought home an article about Diana’s Necklace being displayed to the public. I was so excited to have found out about it! The next day, I dressed up and drove to the Beverly Hills Hotel. I asked for directions to the room where the display was. When I reached the door, I felt an overwhelming sense of mourning and almost had to leave. I was surprised that no others were viewing the display. I thought that it might be really crowded. I was the only one there. I stood watching the necklace for a little while and then left the room for lunch in the Polo Lounge located in the garden area of the Hotel. I though about what I had just seen. It is all I could think of. After lunch, I hurried to the room again. I entered and asked if I could take pictures. The attendant said yes. When finished, I started toward the door. The attendant hurried to my side and asked if I needed any information. He seemed so kind and sensed that the display had brought strong emotions. I told him that I had met my best friend, Pete, as a result of Diana’s memorials. His face calmed and he nodded. I walked on toward the exit feeling as if Diana herself had run to my side and comforted me.
