PRINCESS DIANA
Welcome to my personal tribute to Princess Diana.
I created this Webpage to allow others who love Diana, like myself,
to share these wonderful photo’s
On 31 August 1997, I was visiting my grandmother at the Sydney nursing home
with my mother and a family friend
when I heard the shocking radio news
of Princess Diana’s involvement
in a car accident in the A’Lma Tunnel in Paris.
I knew from the announcement
that Dodi and the Driver Henri Paul
were killed instantly in the horrifying accident.
All that I could think of at the time
was whether Diana was going to survive.
After we arrived home on that day,
I immediately turned my TV
on and waited for further news.
Soon after, the horrifying news came
that the Princess could not be saved
and that she too had died
as a result of the accident.
I remember bursting into tears in shock and disbelieve.
I was fully disfunctional for a few days after her death.
I cried for a few days as I watched the news
talking about the accident and showing segments
about Diana and as I watched her funeral on TV.
I feel that Princess Diana is one and only
and will never be substituted.
My heart suffered emptiness and sadness
for the loss of the Princess
and feel that it was the greatest loss ever,
not just to me, but the whole world.
God bless her soul.
