Welcome to the Bootlegs section! If you are wondering what bootlegs are, well they are recordings sold unofficialy. Kate bootlegs are either demos which were never properly released or compilations of Kate's live songs, b-sides etc. They aren't easy to find, but these days with the internet there are a few places where you can get them. In general the sound quality of bootlegs aren't very good, some BAD, some great, some are just ok, i would say the majority are average.

Usually you have to be willing to pay quite a bit of money for them, you'd be lucky to find one cheap. Anyway, here is my list of the Kate bootlegs i know of, from the ones ive heard i'd say the best is 'Cathys home demo's, compilations of early songs, some demos of songs like 'Babooshka', 'oh to be in love' and 'kite'. The Bootlegs


A Bird In The Hand- A bad quality release of the Live At Hammersmith album, some of the songs featured on 'LAH' are missing. There are 8 songs altogether.

A Lioness At Heart- I'm not sure if this is really a bootleg, but it is an illegal re-issure of 'Lionheart', it also has a t-shirt, and some other accesories, i don't know what!

Angels On Earth- hmm, sorry all i know about this is that it has 11 songs and a very pretty cover lol.

Butterfly Kisses-17 live songs, good quality. One of the most popular Kate Bootlegs. Cathy's Album- A good quality release of 16 early demos, it's one of the easier ones to find.

Cathy's Album Too- You guessed it, the second Cathy's Album with 11 early demo songs, good sound.

The Cathy's Home Demos- compilation of Cathy's Album 1 and 2. One of the most populare bootlegs and therefore easier to find. It has 29 songs. Good sound quality.

Dreamtime- Ok, this Dreamtime has about 24 songs, i'm not sure at all what they are or what the quality is like.

Dreamtime (b-sides and rarities)- It is a compilation of 16 b-sides and rare songs, the sound quality is great, songs from the 90s and late 80s.

If You Could See Me Fly- 18 early demos. Photos like Lionheart. No other information.

Passing Through Air- 13 early demos, not sure of the sound quality, one of the easier ones to find.

This Woman's Live Work- Compilations of live songs there are several versions, and the amount of songs vary. Sound quality is good.

Wow- Apparently this is complete rip-off copy of Live at The Hammersmith (tsk!), although it claims otherwise, as far as the sound quality goes i don't have a clue.
