Bonham Carter plays the lead role of Cora in the comic story of an unlikely friendship between two Scottish women who help each other through life's ups and downs. A lively, outspoken single mother, Cora lives in Edinburgh, and develops an unlikely friendship with a shy cartoonist. With a cracking performance from Bonham Carter, direction from Giedroyc (who previously directed episodes of Dawn French's Murder Most Horrid) and original music from one of the film's executive producers, Elton John, Women Talking Dirty is another example of good British filmmaking.
