Monaco is called a drivers favourite. Personally i've never got why. Yes it's a nice place thats rich in F1 history and Yes most of the drivers live there. However, its virtually impossible to pass on, most of the field crash out and most of those who don't crash out have technical problems.
Drivers on the grid with fond memories of Monaco include the past winners Michael Schumacher (4 times), David Coulthard (2000), Mika Hakkinen (1998), Olivier Panis (1996) and Eddie Irvine who often finishes in the points here (highest finish- 2nd 1999). Rubens Barrichello may have fond memories of scoring Stewart GP's first points/podium here in 1997 in the wet. Giancarlo Fisichella usually does well here to as does Jean Alesi.
Drivers who may look at this circuit in the oppisite way are Jaques Villeneuve who vever seems to get it rightin Monaco, Ralf Schumacher who as also never scored points here (he was on his way to a podium last year when Hakkinen made him run wide and he hurt his leg) and Jenson Button who didn't have much fun here first time round.
