In the early 1980's, the recently-launched Playgirl was a poor imitation-opposite of men's magazines. The articles were crummy, unbelievable. The ones "written" by "women" who'd enjoyed spontaneous trysts; one with a motorcycle cop ( to settle a ticket!! She'd get ARRESTED for bribery--or WORSE! ); another with an artist who'd had a "creative" notion of using her body as a "paintbrush"; another by a man who was an artist ( not the same one ) who, frustrated by his wife's embarrassment of nudity, had drugged her, painted her nude portrait--and had "sex" with the painting ( in nauseating detail ); etc.
Really--and what about the PAIN that "paintbrush" woman must've been in, removing oil paint with turpentine? And I don't believe she really would've been "proud" to have it displayed in the lobby of the hospital where they both worked! Especially since the smug artist coyly let on how it had been painted! [ Hospital jobs? I know what you're thinking; but Darva was a teenager at the time! And I'm sure she WOULDN'T have! ]
The pix were dank, poorly lit, poorly composed; looking as if they were all taken by the guys' wives or gay lovers--amateur pix. Worse, not only were most of the men --ahem-- not well-endowed; but NONE of them were --ahem-- "happy to see us"! That's right, not ONE in the whole mag!!
I didn't spend my dough to view limp noodles. What's the point of a magazine full of photos like that?
So, dear "Rock"; if you pose, don't disappoint us! Don't do a wimpy, covered up pose for your pictorial.
And PLEASE be "happy to see us". We'd certainly be happy to see YOU.
