Patrick Swayze

Police in Arizona say three construction workers have admitted to helping Patrick Swayze hide beer and wine bottles after he made an emergency landing in his private plane near Phoenix on June 1. The men allegedly said they helped Swayze take a nearly-empty wine bottle and a 30-pack of beer -- including at least 10 empties -- out of the plane, then drove him to a hotel. Police have not charged Swayze, apparently for lack of evidence. It was 12 hours after the crash landing before police finally contacted Swayze, whose spokesman denies he had any alcohol on board. Swayze was flying a Cessna 414A from Van Buys, Calif., to Las Vegas when he had to put the plane down on a road near Prescott, Ariz. FAA investigators said Swayze had reported a pressurization problem in the cabin before making the emergency landing. - Posted June 15, 2000 - Shagmail People and ArcaMax Entertainment Today. {scroll down}
