August 30, 2000 Bessie demanded we take a day during our California vacation to find her yet another amusement park. Six Flags Magic Mountain becomes number four in the summer of 2000. Bessie was especially impressed with Goliath, the new hypercoaster that opened this year. In fact, it was the first new ride of the new Millennium. (But I guess that depends on whose definition of when the Millennium actually begins you are going by. We here at TravelwithBessie.com say, "Screw you!" to all the party poopers who say we have to wait until 2001 for the actual millennium change. Everyone partied last year, and that's good enough for us.) Bessie was excited to see the Batmobile, but we didn't let the troublemaker get too close. After her attempted theft of the Batmobile they had at Great America, we kept her on a pretty short leash.
