September 21, 1999 This is Bessie watching batting practice at Tiger Stadium during the last week of the season. This particular game was the last Tuesday game ever played at this historic ballpark in Detroit. We weren't sure if Bessie's tears were for the closing of the stadium after so many years, or for the sorry state of the Tigers!
