March 10, 2000 A trip to Traverse City, Michigan in chilly March. On the left, Bessie is standing by one of the famous vinyards overlooking the Grand Traverse bay on the Old Mission Peninsula. And on the right, Bessie (you will find her on the fence under the sign) tours the Old Mission Ligthouse and enjoys standing on the 45th parallel. (I'm told she was freezing her udders off.)
