A Week by Week Guide to Alex's Nominations

Week 2 " Disgusting "

ALEX: Hello Big Brother.

My first nomination is Jonny, because he openly said that he urinates in the shower -- and I think it’s disgusting.
My second nomination is Alison, because she too, also told us that she urinates in the shower. This too, I think is disgusting.

(Alex exits the diary room)
PJ: Bloody hell, that is quicker than I thought

SPENCER: Haven’t you got to give them any reasons?
ALEX: Oh yeah I did, but my reasons are honest and frank. And short.

Week 3 " I didn't think it was very funny... "

ALEX: My first nomination is Jonny. Because yesterday, when they had the Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis match on, he came through and he said to us, "After the match was finished, they showed us a clip of all of us coming in, and they showed that we were saying things by putting certain things that we had said together to make a different perspective of ourselves", and afterwards he said "Sorry, I was only joking just to wind you up".
And I thought this was, uh...well, I didn’t like it.

My second nomination, I’m sorry to say, is Lee. And this is because he’s been gloating a little bit when we first went over this side. He was making out like, oh it was such a bad place to be, and having a laugh.
Plus also cos of my toilet problems, he’s had a bit of a giggle with it. I didn’t think it was very funny, I didn’t find it funny. That's why I nominate Lee.

Week 4 Honourable Alex ...

ALEX: My first nomination is Spencer. Because while we were living on the poor side, Adele had been sitting outside for about an hour and a half cooking the food, and as he was eating it, he said it was disgusting.

My second nomination is PJ. Because when I had to make the difficult decision about who I wanted to be on the rich side, it was the first time I’d seen a negative side, probably, to PJ, and I didn’t like the way that he was upset that I had made my choice. My decision was final why I came over, and I did not feel that I had to explain my reasons why.

(Nominations over, Alex approaches PJ across the bars)
ALEX: Now that we’ve done our nominations, I want to have a talk with you, cos I didn't want you to think I was trying to influence you.
As much as you don’t like it over there, you’d be able to stick it out. I know you need your meat, and I know you like it, and it's not anything personal because I do like you PJ. Let's be honest with you, I think you're tough enough, and so is Spencer. And I personally feel that if you’d made the choice, one person would have to stay behind and it would be either me or Adele, because you know we both handled it good over there.
I wanted to tell you this AFTER nominations, cos I didn’t want you to feel like I was influencing you at all. So I've told you PJ. I'm sorry PJ because I'd like you over here, but I had to make the choice. Cos I did say that I saw that you were pissed off, and I’d never seen that side to you before, PJ. And I’m sorry.

PJ: Alex, no hard feelings mate. It was a difficult decision and I didn’t like it, but it had to be made. Don't worry about it. (They shake hands)

ALEX: OK cool. Thank you PJ.

Week 5 " Kate. Put. Metal. Objects. In. The. Microwave. "

ALEX: My first nomination is Jonny. The reason I nominate Jonny is because, I remember in the first week, we did have our differences. For example I didn’t think it was rather cool that he urinated in the shower, even though he thought it was OK. And I suppose at the end of the day, when it comes to less people living in the house, there are other people I’d rather be living in here, rather than him.

My second nomination is Kate. And I suppose if I have to think of reasons, Kate. put. metal. objects. in. the. microwave. thus. catching. alight.
Also after Saturday night’s task, she had been talking to other people, saying that I’d said sorry to everybody else for not picking them on the poor side, and not her, which isn’t true.

Week 6 " Jade’s been, so to speak, shit stirring "

ALEX: My first nomination is Jade. I know she’s been, so to speak, shit stirring. She’ll say, when I’ve been outside, explaining that she thinks Jonny is an arsehole and Kate’s pissing her off, and then she’ll go over to Jonny and say things that myself and Adele have apparently done, and this is not true.

My second nomination is Jonny. When we were all over the poor side and Tim was just on the other side, word was out that we should rebel and go and stand on the other side. And I felt that maybe because myself and Adele did not join in that it would in some way distance us from the group on the poor side and...that’s pretty much it -- being under pressure to do something that I probably didn’t wanna do.

Week 8 Final nominations ...

ALEX: My first nomination is Jade. This is because Jade had been basically lying about what people have said. There was even one instance where she said to me, Kate didn’t know why you didn’t pick her, but if it was her doing the choices when I won the task, she wouldn’t have chosen me either. And Kate told me this wasn’t true.

My second nomination is Jonny. When we had the puppet show, we were told to do a puppet show of memorable events in the house. And as far as I was concerned, me having a go at him for urinating in the shower wasn’t a memorable event.
Especially when afterwards, it was to show what happened in here, we apparently were supposed to shake hands, and he was like "Oh no, I don’t want to shake your hand, I’m a model", so to speak, and I thought this was blatantly taking the piss.

(Alex returns from making his nominations)
JADE: Did you have to give full frank reasons? Did you have to specify anything ?
ALEX: No, not at all. They just told me to just give anybody’s name without any reason whatsoever.

2. Sophie entered in week 2, Tim entered in week 4. Both were excluded from the nominations process in that week respectively
