Carin Koch personal: 5’6”, blond hair, blue eyes…Started playing golf at
the age of 9…Credits her father Owe Hjalmarsson, husband Stefan Koch, Kjell
Enhager, Pia Nilsson and Chuck Cook as the individuals most influencing
her career…Married Stefan Koch on Dec. 30, 1995…Competed as Carin Hjalmarsson
in 1995 and Carin Hj Koch in 1996…Gave birth to son Oliver Michael Ture
on Nov. 27, 1998…Enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Carin came on tour in 1995. She had a 2nd place and was in the top 50 on
the money list that year. Since then, Carin has enjoyed great sucess on
the LPGA tour. In 2000, Carin was selected to the solheim cup team, where
as a rookie, she went 3-0, and clinched the winning putt for the europeans.
Last year, carin claimed her first LPGA victory at the corning classic.
It was the first time she posted four consecutive rounds in the sixties.
She matched that feat at the takefuji classic, the first tournament of
the year.
