Now that The X Files have finally been closed down for good (at least on television - the possibility that Chris Carter's one hit will continue on the big screen should not be ruled out), what next for Gillian Anderson? Well, there's nine years worth of paranormal adventures for admirers to check out, of course... just no more trance records, please.
Recommended viewing: The diminutive carrot-top has followed in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman, Jessica Lange and, er, Brendan Foster by appearing on the London stage in What The Night Is For, but filmically there's The Mighty, The House of Mirth, Playing By Heart,, and her voice on one episode each of The Simpsons ("The Springfield Files" as Scully), ReBoot ("Trust No One" as Nully) and a particularly funny Eek! The Cat. Plus she had an uncredited bit in the pilot for Harsh Realm.
