Salma Hayek
Salma's career has taken her from soap operas and stage plays in Mexico (where she was so well-liked that male audience members were known to rush the stage if something unbecoming happened to her) to ensure no one remembers she was in Wild Wild West thanks to her role as Frida Kahlo in...well... Frida. She's been criticised in some circles, but can you imagine what would have happened if Jennifer Lopez (who, unlike Salma, was born outside the continental US) had won the role? Whether more people will see the alluring lady here than in her Head and Shoulders ads is open to question...
