Celine

Celine Dion was born the youngest of 14 children in Quebec on March 30, 1968. Although she was a famous musical voice in Canada and France since her teens, she didn't crack the U.S. charts until her early twenties in 1991 when she released an LP in English. The Top 10 song that broke through with American audiences was "Where Does My Heart Beat Now." Since that American breakthrough, Celine has risen to worldwide superstar status with a string of hits on pop and adult contemporary radio. Celine began singing when she was 5 and had recorded her first demo ("Ce N'etait Qu'un Reve" or "It Was Only A Dream") by the time she was 12 years old. Two years later, Celine was wining contests, recording singles, working with Rene Angelil, and had become a star in Quebec. Her only obstacle for success beyond Canada and France was her French lyrics. By the late 80s, Celine had learned English and signed a deal with Sony Records. Dion's first LP, Unison, was released. Celine had her first Top 10 U.S. hit with "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" and also hit big with "(If There Was) Any Other Way." Since then she has won five grammys. On January 25th Celine gave birth to a baby boy - Rene Charles - named after his father Rene. She is moving to Las Vegas for three years to do shows(instead of touring).GOOD LUCK!!

Britney

***Okay...let me start by saying that i have had a love hate relationship with Brit. When she first came out touring with *Nsync i liked her, but then i stopped and became a total anti-britney fanatic mainly because my best friend did not like her. The when her HBO special aired I watched it and I was so to speak hooked. The next week i bought her cd Britney and now I can't stop listening to it. She is a great artist. I respect everything she has done. Now for the info: She was born Britney Jean Spears on December 2, 1981 in McComb, MS. She was raised in Kentwood, LA. Her parents are Jamie & Lynn (who are getting divorced, my heart goes out to her!). She has an older brother Brian and a younger sister Jamie Lynn. She loves to shop, swim, read romance novels, and days at the beach. She has been singing for a long time. From local dance reviews to church choirs. At age 8, Britney auditioned for the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club. Although this time she didn't get the part, she wasn't going to give up. She began appearing on National Commercials and off-Broadway plays. At 11, Britney finally made it into the Mickey Mouse Club, where she stayed for 2 years, before returning to Kentwood. After a normal high school year, she began to focus on her future. She wanted to see the world! At 15, Britney hopped a plane to New York where she began to develop a solo pop singing career. Her first single, "...Baby One More Time" made it's debut at the 17 spot on the Billboard's Top 100 chart. She was once a part of the group Innosence. She has done comercials for Bell South (1995), Days Inn, Maull's Barbeque Sauce, Teen people, Pepsi, and McDonalds. She starred in the movie "Crossroads".
