WELCOME TO DUDLEY MOORE - COME AGAIN
'Ello, & welcome to the site! Named after one of the Derek & Clive albums, this site is dedicated to Dudley. Who else can strip-dance to "Stayin' Alive" & make it look so good? I started out liking Dudley at least before 1993. I saw Arthur 2: On The Rocks, loved it, & was hooked. Learning he was a pianist was a huge bonus. Don't forget to sign the guestbook and lemme know what you think. Leave this window open while surfing the site so the site doesn't run out of bandwidth/space & shut down. Enjoy, have fun & come again!

SITE UPDATES
02 December 2010: Hey everyone! Just a quick note to say thanks to all those who moved around with us when we left Angelfire and got hosted with our own domain(s) over the last few years. We were last known as Forever Moore and had many new updates and a better design, but I couldn't keep up with the site any more, so I got rid of that one and put this one back up just for folks looking for Dudley stuff. Sorry I couldn't bring the other updates over to here, but there's not enough room or proper tools to do it. I won't be updating this site any more, but am leaving it up for those who still wanna browse. Thanks, again!

ABOUT DUDLEY
Dudley was born Dudley Stuart John Moore, on the 19th of April, 1935 in Dagenham, Essex, England, to John and Ada Moore. He was married, and divorced, four times, between the years of 1968 and 1998.

In the 1950's, Dudley established himself as an accomplished jazz pianist and has noted that he enjoys music more than acting. He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, in England, in the year 1958 (B.A., English, 1957; BMus, 1958). He shared a long partnership with Peter Cook, known together as Derek & Clive.

Among his most noted performances, he portrayed George Webber in 10 (1979), Arthur Bach in Arthur (1981), which got him a Best Actor Oscar nomination and had his own sitcom in 1993 called, Dudley.

Dudley has had his share of complications in life, such as being born with a clubfoot, which was surgically corrected during his young. He's suffered four strokes, several minor heart-attacks and underwent open-heart surgery in 1997, the 25th of September, and has been arrested in March of 1994. Dudley was scheduled to play Gregory, the lead role in The Mirror Has Two Faces, but was fired by Barbra Streisand for not being able to say, or remember, his lines correctly.

But through the bad things, came good things. Dudley was made a Commander of the British Empire in June, 2001. He was named the the Godfather to Peter Cook's eldest daughter, Lucy. And he also had two children of his own. Son Patrick, born in 1976 to Tuesday Weld, and son Nicholas Anthony, born on the 28th of June, 1995, to Nicole Rothschild. He was also the co-owner of 72 Market Sreet, a restaurant in Venice, California.

Sadly, in 1998, Dudley was diagnosed, with a rare brain disease called Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). He contracted pneumonia as a complication of the disease, which lead to his death on the 27th of March, 2002 in Plainfield, New Jersey. During his last days, he was well cared for by his long-time friend Rena Fruchter. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Stevens & his children.
