Left-handed & can write with his right hand, too Spinal anomaly. Considers himself a genetic mutant & is proud to admit it. Interest in the supernatural (UFOs, ghosts, crop circles, etc.). Says his housekeeper has heard his voice in his California home when he was in Canada and says that everyone leaves behind a bio-electric residue throughout life, so it's possible to haunt a place where they're well-known. Has seen UFOs in Martha's Vineyard. In 1994 he recieved an honourary Doctorate from Carleton University. Collects police memorabelia & rides a police motorcycle. Grandfather was a Mountie. His paternal roots lie in West Yorkshire & his distant cousin, Sir Harry Aykroyd, was the "High Sheriff of York." Was engaged to Carry Fisher at one time. Before becoming an actor, he worked as a mail sorter at the national post office in Canada. Had a close, non-sexual love relationship with John Belushi. Had a known temper during his SNL days & was known to do a bit of damage to walls & such. Made up a story for Who's Who about marrying Maureen Lewis on the 10th of May, 1974 & having three sons--Mark, Lloyd & Oscar--with her. Investor in the New York Hard Rock Cafe.
Opened the House Of Blues in April of 1994 at 8430 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California.
