- A Tribute by a Die Hard Fan
Me, Myself and JHC |
I designed this simple website on JHC, out of scratch, simply because I love James Hadley Chase. I looked around in the net for my favorite author, but could find very sparse information. When irrelevant issues throw up so many sites and 'hits', why was there no site dedicated to an author who wrote so many books, was read (and translated ) world-wide and whose creations brought a simple child-like pleasure to so many of us readers? It appeared to be a grave injustice. I felt that I owe Chase, for making my long lazy afternoons so pleasurable with his novels....... I still feel that there can be no greater pleasure than solitude, a Chase novel and a cup of coffee. In fact, I wish to develop a really comprehensive site on Chase, and for that, I need help from Chase enthusiasts scattered all over the world. Their inputs will be welcome and acknowledged.
Regarding other hobbies and other interests, I love watching and collecting Hollywood and Indian classic movie CDs and DVDs, playing guitar, listening to American country music, reading / collecting Lee Falk's Phantom comics, cooking exotic dishes and fiddling around with my computer. I also have a fair collection of horror novels and short stories.
Cheers!!
Post script: Chase fans from all over the world have sent me some rare works of JHC, enabling me to complete my personal collection. I would like to express my sincere heart-felt gratitude to Phillipe Soula of Massat, France, for But A Short Time To Live and the rare Slipstream, A Royal Air Force Anthology; to Ulrich Stiehl of Hiedelberg, Germany, for No Business of Mine; to Alberto Zylbersztajn of Milan, Italy, for the very rare Miss Callaghan Comes to Grief; to Ravi Thyagarajan of California, USA, for the rarest of rare Last Page and to Vineet Abraham of New Delhi, India, for Blonde's Requiem, Goldfish Have No Hiding Place and the controversial He Lived Only For Revenge. Thanx buddies, for your precious gifts... God Bless you all :-)
