Immortals

So you want to know about the real Imhotep. What about Seti I? And Anck-Su-Namun?  Well you've come to the right place. This place will get bigger as more info is gathered. It's hard finding all the right stories and make sure that they are in fact true. So be sure to check back in the future.  As always, "*" states the info is taken straight from "The Ultimate Mummy DVD" and proves just how lazy I am:).

Imhotep

Heehee, you might find this cute:). Imhotep was really an architect who created the step pyramid (The fore father of the massive ones to show up in later history). He constructed the first to honor the King Zoser. He was soon worshipped as a Son of Ptah (the creator of the universe) and the people built temples in his honor. But not for the Pyramid. Nope. He was quite the physician as well as an architect. Some even believe he is the real forefather to modern medicine instead of Hypocraties.  In fact they brought the sick and so on and so forth to these temples in hope of answers and healing.

Pharaoh Seti I

Hailed as one of the nineteenth dynasty's greatest pharaohs, Seti had lead his army

to reclaim the lands that were stolen from Egypt. He did wonders for

rebuilding ruins (crumbly buildings and statues got a face lift:).

He is also the father of Ramses II. His reign ended in 1304 BC.

Anck-Su-Namun

Hey, here's another believe it or not:). She was the wife of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, otherwise known as King Tut! And another common spelling of her name is: Ankhesenamun. She was also the daughter of Pharaoh Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti, the forerunners of a one-god worship in Egypt that went downhill shortly after their deaths. When she was thirteen she was married to eight year old King Tut. After his early death (at the age of eighteen) she tried to ensure a Hittite take over of Egypt for fear that the religion her father started would vanish. No such luck. Instead she was married to her rumored grandfather (Aya) and disappeared before his death, about four years after they married.

Ardeth Bay

Well it's rumored that him and his people did exist, just not together. I'm gonna look into further. It's just hard since not many people know what I'm talking about. If you do, please us eth e-mail link and let me know:). I'd greatly appreciate it:).

I have found a link to someone who may be the real Bay. Not sure

yet, so I haven't written it own here. Click here to find out more.

Med-Jai

Ok, I looked and I found a nice little tid bit you guys might enjoy. I tried and tired searching the net and my huge collection of books (ok, it's not that big but it is impressive). There is one out there who sacrificed time and energy on the project but she persevered! Trust me I tried and found next to nothing on these guys. But yes they did (do?) exist. So just click here and scroll down to "The History of the Med Jai Nubians". It is an excellent and very detailed read. Oh, and be sure to check out the rest of that site as well. It's a fun one to visit:)!
