It all started with Ang TV. Every afternoon of his teenage life, he would watch the show and dream of joining the cast. "Nag VTR [for commercials] pa ako dati, hoping na makakasama ko sila." This young lad had a different view of showbiz then, he thought that it is nothing but a money game. "Parang dapat financially able ka kasi 'yun ang pino-project nang mga artista until pumasok nga ako sa industriya. Saka lang naliwanagan sa isip ko na it's really work, hard work."

He describes himself as fun-loving, "makulit," "madaling makibagay" and true enough, he easily smoothed himself into the Star Circle (batch 4) group. He may be viewed as a snob in person but once the ice is broken, he becomes a true friend and a good companion.

Behind the limelight, Jericho is a sweet person who loves talking on the phone and competing with his playstation. Baseball and basketball are his sports but when it comes to music his choice varies from pop to the new wave beat. He admires the acting abilities of John Travolta, Winona Ryder and Sigourney Weaver. Jericho can talk and is usually open about himself, not wanting to keep secrets especially to people whom he feels comfortable with. He can definitely dance and sing, making him not just a face to watch out for but a real talent as well.
