After making quite a defense team, Téa and Nora have become quite offensive--to each other. Actresses Smith and Lozano took their characters from strong, unconventional women working hand in well-manicured hand to strong, unconventional women at each others' throats.
When Nora turned down Téa's offer to be her partner, both parties were steamed. Téa was miffed that Nora thought she was only "associate" material, and Nora was miffed that Téa saw herself as Nora's equal. The innocent inquiry into employment opportunities quickly dissolved into a toe-to-toe screaming match. Smith can let loose with the best of 'em--her unrestrained style is a kick to watch: eyes darting, arms flailing, feet stomping.
Lozano went to a different school. She's cool, almost motionless, but her character is just as emotionally reckless (as evidenced by her psuedo-seduction of hood Javier). Smith's strength comes from her aggressive, no-holds barred approach to all situations. Lozano's power comes from a deep voice, a lethal stare and an ability to shift gears.
Since their fallout, Téa has been rubbing Nora's nose in her legal successes while making time with Bo's nephew, Kevin. This new feud isn't going to be over any time soon.
