Here are just some of Florencia's fans speaking out about "Téa," "Todd & Téa" and the wonderful impact Florencia Lozano has had on One Life to Live. Soap Opera Weekly issue date October 10, 2002 – Public Opinion:
“Don’t Trash TnT - ‘I just finished watching One Life to Live’s Todd and Téa, and I am disappointed. I love this couple, and Florencia Lozano returning as Téa has been a huge gift. She is a wonderful actress, and she brings so much intensity and passion to her role. Todd and Téa were finally getting there, together. Yet it was all turned upside down. Now we will have Téa letting Todd go to be with Blair and the kids? What is that about? He hasn’t thought about Blair at all while on the island and has shown how much he loves Téa by being with her and loving her the way he’s always wanted to love her. I know how much Todd and Téa love each other because the actors have done a wonderful job showing that. Don’t let their love die. - Meghan Matthews, Queens NY via email’”

Almost Paradise
“I am enjoying the story of One Life to Live’s Todd and Téa on the deserted island, but it’s frustrating to have them on only for a day or two a week. I want to see this pair interact and discuss their issues. But most of all, I want them to realize that even after all this time apart and all the things that have gone on in their lives while they were separated, they still have a deep love for each other. Todd needs to get over this revenge kick that he’s on and come to understand how deeply Téa cares for him. She loves him more than anyone in his life ever has - even to the point of sacrificing her own life by staying on the island with him! Todd and Téa have far more chemistry going on during their limited screen time than any couple currently on the show. And they certainly have this watcher waiting and hoping for more. - D.M., via the Internet”

“Dynamic Duo - In less than 30 seconds, Roger Howarth and Florencia Lozano had me hooked again on One Life to Live. These two actors are so in tune with each other on-screen as Todd and Téa, it’s absolutely amazing. From their emotional exchange to their eye contact to the characters reading each other like a book, these two have it all. Is it any wonder Todd and Téa are still one of OLTL’s most popular couples, even after having been offscreen for the past few years? I look forward to this story building and hope to see a Todd/Téa reunion. Just Like Old Times
“I loved today’s episode of One Life to Live. Téa was so transparent in her hysterical state. She still loves Todd despite all the time that has passed and everything that has happened in the interim. Her love for him is so selfless; it truly is the kind of love Todd has needed for such a long time. There is no sense of malice or one-upmanship, and there is no need for games of revenge.
The chemistry between Roger Howarth and Florencia Lozano is amazing. I’m sure that with this being Todd’s exit storyline, things are not going to go on for long, and I will be very sorry when they are off our screens. Why They Came Back: Florencia Lozano (Téa, OLTL):
“The last time actress Florencia Lozano’s character Téa left OLTL in early 2000, it was because she’d gone off with former love Todd Manning off camera. Ironically, Todd’s portrayer Roger Howarth rejoined the soap not long after, but Todd came back without Téa. Since that time, fans have wanted Lozano and Howarth on screen at the same time. Now they’re getting their wish. Lozano, who has been busy doing theater work, agreed to reprise her role of Téa. Sources report her return will be to presumably help make it possible for Todd to get out of Llanview, as Howarth is set to leave the soap before summer. Although, if fans had their way, they’d want Lozano to remain on the show. That would only be possible if the writers could come up with a way to keep her around *and* if Lozano would agree to a lengthier stay than is currently planned for her character. The opportunity to work with Howarth again is no doubt what drew the actress back. ‘It’s a lot of fun to play opposite Roger,’ Lozano told Update in a past interview. ‘There is so much going on beneath the surface.’ In the past, Update honored Lozano as one of Soaps’ Most Beautiful Women.”

MANY HAPPY RETURNS
“I am still wrapping my mind around the excellent news of Florencia Lozano’s return to One Life to Live as Téa. I would love to see Todd and Téa reunited. It’s never been easy for them, and they deserve a chance at happiness. Todd has not been the same since she left. Now that she’s returning, I hope to see the Todd I recognize – the Todd who has a soul underneath the anger. Todd and Téa always seemed to be a step above the rest because of the great, natural chemistry between Lozano and Roger [Howarth, Todd]. They connect through looking at each other, through always being able to give as good as they get. It’s a rarity, and I love watching them. Todd and Téa belong together, and I hope OLTL and ABC has the presence of mind to match them up and give the fans what we have wanted for a very long time. – V.H., Woodside, NY”

Florencia Lozano returning to One Life to Live as Téa Delgado reportedly for Todd’s exit is the best news I have heard in a long time! RETURN: A ride off into the sunset for Todd…and Téa?! An OLTL rep tells Soaps In Depth that Florencia Lozano is slated to reprise the role of Todd’s ex-wife. But just how will this reunion figure into Roger Howarth’s upcoming send-off?
The In Depth Story: Seeing as few rivalries are as fiercely fought as the one between the Todd/Blair and Todd/Téa fan bases, Lozano’s return (no first airdate or duration was available at press time) is certain to up the ante. When viewers last saw Téa, the Vega cousin had found her romance with RJ interrupted by a cryptic note inviting her to meet with Todd, who had fled Llanview months earlier. Immediately thereafter, leaving behind little more than a ‘Dear John’ note for RJ, Téa herself disappeared. It turned out, upon his own return home, that Todd and Téa had attempted to make another go at a life together…yet failed. Will Lozano’s encore serve to facilitate former leading man Howarth’s May/June exit? Will the stage-trained actress be a part of OLTL’s week of live episodes, or the much talked-about location shoot in Hawaii? A show rep had no comment. It *is* possible that Lozano, who has kept herself busy on the NYC stage, is returning as a favor to Howarth. ‘I loved working with Roger,’ she shared with Soaps In Depth earlier this year. ‘He is one of a kind. Roger is probably the best soap actor working today. He really, really understands the medium.’”

"As a 15 year fan of One Life to Live and a 28 year old, I qualify as part of the show’s prime demographic target. Since no one has asked me to be part of a focus group, I’d like to give my opinions on the show.
1. Bo and Nora belong back together. I’d like to see the exploration of Sam and Blair as a couple. Laurence Lau and Kassie DePaiva have wonderful chemistry.
2. The Viki/Jessica/Allison story has been strangely fascinating, and I’m enjoying the acting of all involved. Melissa Archer (Natalie) is a brilliant young actress and a keeper.
3. I like Cris and Jen, but I prefer Cris with Jessica.
4. RJ needs a love life. I’m not thrilled what Keri is his daughter rather than a love interest for him, but it’s OK.
5. I’d like to see Téa Delgado brought back. The fact that the Todd/Téa story has been left hanging for more than a year is sad and frustrating to the couple’s many fans. Téa always managed to bring out Todd’s human side and tried to ease his demons away. That’s the story I’d like for Todd. - Kelly Stevens, Northvale NJ, via email"

Make my sweeps, ONE LIFE TO LIVE - I dare you. Listen to the fans, who for the past year have asked for the return of Téa Delgado. It would cause turmoil in several stories, sure, but isn’t that what daytime is about? Think of the tension and angst-filled reunion between Todd and Téa. Think of how happy Carlotta would be. What could be a better sweeps story than Téa returning to Llanview? There are so many angles. So, go ahead, Mr [Gary] Tomlin [executive producer]. I beg you: Make my sweeps and bring back Téa. - J.M. "Endless Possibilities" -
I see couples on One Life to Live with so much potential, and it amazes me that [Executive Producer] Gary Tomlin continues to stick with stories that aren’t working. To me, the couple with the most potential is Max and Blair. These two have such a history, and the addition of Gabrielle has made for an interesting triangle. Lindsay and Sam have a ton of potential - Laurence Lau and Catherine Hickland have great chemistry. A return I would still love to see is Téa Delgado. A Town Full of Strangers:
"I keep reading about all these new roles being cast on One Life to Live, and I have to wonder: Where are the fan favorites we have been asking for? Whenever I read he soap magazines, I read about fans asking for Téa Delgado’s and Dorian Lord Hayes’ returns. But it seems instead of listening to the fans and giving them what they want, OLTL is determined to force new characters on its audience. I don’t mind a new character here and there, as long as it’s balanced with old favorites, and Dorian and Téa are just that. If OLTL is going to bring on a barrage of new faces, the least they can do is give their fans the actors they’ve been asking for. - Jane Rickler, New York"

OLTL’s Tea To Port Charles? - The latest buzz making the
rounds? That OLTL grad Florencia Lozano will appear on GH as a
lady lawyer - perhaps as Tea Delgado herself. True? "I feel like
people invent rumors", a rep for the actress laughs, refuting the
report. "It seems like anyone can say anything in this business -
and based on nothing." Rather, Lozano currently is starring in the
John Patrick Shanley play Where's My Money, at NYC’s Labyrinth
Theatre. "That's what Florencia is doing," adds her rep. "She's not

No Llanview For Lozano - She's currently working on a play in New York, but even after that
wraps up, Florencia Lozano (ex-Tea) says she won't be returning to
OLTL, which will no doubt disappoint her fans. In a recent
conversation with Digest, she discussed her onetime co-star Roger
Howarth's (Todd) seemingly-permanent return, and added it was
good for everyone concerned that unlike, in previous times, the
show hadn't become dependent solely on his character. "That's
good for him, too. [Making OLTL ‘The Todd Show’] was a lot of
pressure on him. That’s a lot of working every day. It’s too much
to work five days a week."

No Tea For OLTL – Despite the buzz, OLTL’s ex-Tea,
Florencia Lozano, will not be returning. In fact, although she’s
appearing in a New York play, she hasn’t even visited the set. "Too
many ghosts," she admits. "I haven’t been able to go back." After
her pay wraps up in late July, Lozano reveals that she’ll be looking
for work, but not in soaps. "Three years was plenty," she asserts.
"It was challenging to see id [I could] do it. Now, I want to be
challenged in other ways." Persistent rumors of a return can likely
be traced to a coterie of devoted Tea fans. As OLTL Executive
Producer Gary Tomlin noted in a previous interview, "[Sometimes]
you bring back characters, but they don’t jlast long, because the
audience, which seemed there, isn’t. That’s often the case."
Soap Opera Digest Online - June 29, 2001
After a foray to the West Coast to audition for pilots and
series, Florencia Lozano (ex-Tea) is back East, in a new
Off-Off-Broadway play, "Where's My Money," written by Academy
Award winning playwright John Patrick Shanley ( Moonstruck). Says
Lozano, "I play an extremely unhappy housewife whose husband is
having an affair. And she's not very happy about that." Lozano
says she's thrilled to be on the stage again with this kind of
material. "The writing's really interesting. It's not an easy play for
people to see: it's about relationships and it's pretty honest. It
can be pretty sad and cruel at times, what [the characters] do to
each other and the way we treat each other. It's funny," Lozano
adds, "but the kind of funny where people wonder if they should be
laughing at this but are laughing nonetheless." For more

Florencia Lozano (ex-Téa, OLTL): "I really don’t think it’s a question of what they could offer me. I didn’t get into acting so that I could be wealthy. Sure, that’s always nice, but I do this because I love it. Should there come a time when I feel like, ‘Geez, I would really love to do [soaps] again’ - and that may happen - then I’ll go back."

OLTL's Téa: I Won't Be Back - At least, not any time soon, and not as played by Florencia Lozano, who left the role
of ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Téa in early March when she and Todd blew town together.
"I always knew I would leave after three years," reveals Lozano, who is currently
rehearsing for a production of Shakespeare's Love's Labour Lost at the CalShakes
Festival in Orinda, CA. "Jill [Farren
Phelps, OLTL executive producer] was very sweet, and I'm sure they would have
come up with something [for Téa]. I needed to leave for myself and because I wanted
to do other things as an actor.
Did the writers at OLTL miss an opportunity with Téa? Definitely, says Lozano. "I
was disappointed
after Todd left. I really hoped Téa would lose her mind or become a psycho killer. I
was disappointed
that the answer to what happens when Todd leaves is that Téa looks for another
knight in shining armor. She got a little lost."
Meanwhile, Lozano hasn't totally abandoned her former haunt: Prior to jetting out
West, she dropped by the set - and even caught scenes of former co-star Roger
Howarth as Todd. "I was watching him on the monitor," she divulges. "I hope he's
having a great time. I hope he's happy."
As for her own happiness, Lozano is now finding it in other projects. "I really feel like
an actor now,"
she smiles. "I'm using new muscles and I'm being challenged and I'm growing. I need
that. I love that.
That's why I became an actor. I felt that for the time I was on ONE LIFE, but I had to
leave so I
could continue to feeling that way."
So for now, Llanview will remain a town without Téa. "I won't go back right now,"
she says, "I don't feel that urge." But, that doesn't necessarily mean never. "I'm doing
great. Things are wonderful. But things do change."

"Many ONE LIFE TO LIVE viewers continue to clamor for a Todd and Téa reunion"
Soap Opera Weekly issue 8/15/00, Public Opinion, a fan's letter
"Enough with the insta-romance stuff. It won't work with Todd Manning. Let's not forget who he is. The only 'romantic' relationship that makes any sense for Todd right now is for Téa to return. She is the one he loves. Again I must ask, is Florencia Lozano being pursued for a return? Nobody will answer that simple question. Why not? Who cares if she said no to a return two months ago, last week, 4 PM yesterday? Things change, plans change, attitudes change, bank accounts change. Howarth's continued returns to OLTL are a a shining example of how things change. Convince Lozano to change her mind, to return as Téa, and to shake up Llanview with TNT3."

"Obviously some shows get more mail than others, but every show has fans putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboards) about something: OLTL: Now that Todd is back, fans won't give up on getting Téa back in Llanview with him"
