Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) is pleased to
announce Where’s My Money?, written and directed by John Patrick Shanley, on Stage II at City Center (131 West
55th Street), begins performances on Tuesday, October 16. Opening Night is Wednesday, November 7.
The MTC cast will feature David Deblinger, Yetta Ann Gottesman, Erik Laray Harvey, Florencia Lozano, Chris
McGarry, and Paula Pizzi.
The design team includes: Set Design by Michelle Malavet, Costume Design by Mimi O'Donnell, Lighting Design by
Sarah Sidman, and Sound Design by Eric DeArmon.
The play is a dark comedy about two small-time Brooklyn divorce lawyers and the women in their lives. In other words,
what women will do for money and what men will do for sex. Where’s My Money? was seen in an earlier version this year
presented by the Labyrinth Theater Company.
BIOGRAPHIES
John Patrick Shanley (Playwright and Director) Previous MTC productions are Four Dogs and a Bone, Beggars in the
House of Plenty, Italian-American Reconciliation, Psychopathia Sexualis, and Women of Manhattan. Other works include
Savage in Limbo, The Dreamer Examines His Pillow, and Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. His film works include Five
Corners which received a Special Jury Prize at the Barcelona Film Festival, Alive, Congo, Crossing Delancey, Joe Versus
the Volcano and Moonstruck which earned him an Oscar and the Writers Guild Award for the screenplay.
David Deblinger was a member of the original production of Where’s My Money? and is a co-founder and director of
Labyrinth Theater Company. Recent theater credits include: Acapulco; the Labyrinth production of Stopless, which he
wrote; Boom Boom, Boom Boom; Dreaming in Tongues; The Flatted Fifth directed by Jo Bonney; the New Victory’s
production of Romeo and Juliet; and Caught. Deblinger has written and appeared in several multimedia solo shows
including: Cockamamie Soup, Schmoo and Nobody’s Home. His film credits include Very Mean Men, Kiss Me Guido, and
A Price Above Rubies co-starring Renee Zellweger.
Yetta Ann Gottesman is a member of the Actors Studio. Her New York theater works include: Unmerciful, Good Fortune,
Giants Have Us in Their Books, The House of Bernarda Alba which were all directed by Max Ferra. She has also
appeared in As Five Years Pass and the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre’s production of Bitter Lemon. She also was
featured in the American Premiere of Book of Splendor Part One and the Actors Studio production of Oedipus starring Al
Pacino.
Erik Laray Harvey’s previous stage credits include the New York Theatre Workshop’s production of A Streetcar Named
Desire and Othello at both Shakespeare in the Park and the New York Shakespeare Festival. He appeared in the
Sundance Theatre Lab’s presentation of Ooh Blah Dee and A Few Good Men produced by Syracuse Stage Company.
His film and television credits include Rounders, Twister, “Now and Again,” “NYPD Blue,” “Law & Order,” and “Another
World.”
Florencia Lozano originated the role of ‘Marcia Marie’ in the Labyrinth production of Where’s My Money? She has
played ‘Rosaline’ in the California Shakespeare Festival’s production of Loves Labour’s Lost and also played the title role
in the Roundhouse Theatre’s Antigone. She played the role of Hamlet’s ‘Ophelia’ at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival
and ‘Masha’ in Checkov’s The Seagull at the NYU Director’s Lab.
Chris McGarry has previously appeared in the Atlantic Theatre Company’s production of Force Continuum. He has
appeared in several Labyrinth productions including In Arabia, We’d All Be Kings, Den of Thieves, 10-13, and Moonlight
Mile.
Paula Pizzi returns to Where’s My Money?, where she played the role of Natalie. She originated the role of ‘Susie
Monahan’ in Wit at the Union Square Theatre and received an Ovation Award nomination for playing the role at the
Geffen Playhouse. Her other Off-Broadway credits include Clean at the Atlantic Theatre and Another Part of the House.
The performance schedule for Where’s My Money? is: Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM, with matinees on
Saturdays at 3:00 PM. Sunday Performances are at 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Tickets are $45 and can be reserved by
