"J.R." Schembre
With a velvet voice and "million dollar smile", singer/songwriter JR Schembre has enchanted audiences across the country and around the world. Schembre's first solo album, "Starting All Over - A Veteran's Legacy" punctuates an already remarkable career as an entertainer. An Air Force veteran, JR (Julie Rae) has been featured on numerous military band concerts and recordings with jazz, country, concert and contemporary music ensembles.
"Starting All Over - A Veteran's Legacy" offers a delightful mix of original patriotic music, blues, jazz and country, that will make you laugh, cry and cheer! The music on this richly diverse album is full of pleasant surprises enhanced by the musical genius of Nashville keyboardist Tony Migliore, guitarist Kerry Marx, percussionist Jerry Kroon and bassist Jimmy Carter. Danny Schembre's flute and saxophone add just the right touches on "Alone" and "Danny's Waltz." Combined with JR's rich voice that soothes and inspires, this simple, yet surprisingly complex CD keeps listeners coming back for more!
JR is currently working with Platinum Plus Records Nashville and Capitol Management to make her recordings available to radio stations and retail outlets across the US. Download the Album or your favorite songs

"This CD is a breath of fresh air as JR magnificently sings a collection of patriotic and love songs with rich melodies, great chord changes, and lyrics straight from the heart. She is a patriot with music that has real appeal for all lovers of good music. I predict we are hearing the Ann Murray of the future." BG John Schwartz, USAF Retired

Dear Family, Friends and Fellow Veterans,
Thanks for visiting my website and for the incredible support! "Starting All Over A Veteran's Legacy" was the recording I'd always dreamed of making. Your love, friendship and encouragement made it happen. From the love of my family and the support of my fellow veterans, to the musical influences of many Air Force friends and mentors, I could never count all the blessings that made this possible.
Since the recording in 2002, I have opened for Tony Orlando at the National VFW Convention, opened the Evansville Freedom Festival with Adrian Cronauer, been elected an honorary member of the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society, graduated with my Master degree, and performed at the AF Museum in Dayton, Ohio. I continue to meet and work with many talented musicians who, in turn, become a part of the musician I am still becoming.
My music has allowed me to share my appreciation for my family, friends and fellow veterans whose love, courage and strength inspired the songs featured on "Starting All Over." Many good things have happened since recording my first solo CD. I hope to release Patriotic, Christian, Jazz and Christmas albums in the near future, and I'm definitely looking forward to Danny's solo album featuring his wonderful arrangements on sax and flute.
Thanks for putting up with this "old Sarge", for giving me wings and helping me soar!
God Bless, JR
