Chapter 3*~

“You’re engaged?”

“Yes, and why are you so surprised?” Aaliyah asked as she looked at him.

“Because you didn’t event tell me you were dating until four months ago, and then I had to also learn that you were pregnant. Oh but you weren’t gonna tell me that bit either. I had to find that out from Holly.”

“Well you didn’t tell me you were married until I found out on my own.”

“Yeah...sorry about that, but I was meaning to tell you, but you weren’t talking to me.”

“So I had good reasons Justin.” Aaliyah sighed and yawned.

“So does Cat know?”

“Of course, she was the one who talked me into saying yes.” Aaliyah shrugged. “And with the help of Tandra...”

“Ah, so even your friends knew before me.” He bit his lip and looked at her. “It’s like that Chico DeBarge song.”

“Everybody knew that you moved on...”

“Without me, Without me...everybody knew that you moved on....but me...”

Aaliyah laughed. “Wow, that song works both ways doesn’t it.”

“I guess it does.” Justin nodded and looked over at her before he turned back to watch Catalina as she ran around with her little sisters Angela and Cassandra. “Li, something about Drew just doesn’t feel right...”

“Doesn’t feel right? What do you mean?”

“He’s just too...perfect. Come on Lili. There has got to be one flaw about the man.”

“Why do you care so much? I mean why does it matter soo much to you?”

“It matter because I love you! I love you Aaliyah Dana Haughton. I never meant to hurt you! I really never did, and I am so sorry for everything that I did, but I’m sure this means nothing to you as of right now. You’ve moved on, and So have I. So I guess that it doesn’t matter anymore does it? It really doesn’t matter.”

“What do you mean this means nothing to me? This means the world to me Justin! It means a lot that you care, and I’m truly hurt that our relationship took a drastic turn for the worse.” Aaliyah looked at him and laughed slightly. “But I guess it’s because I’m a self centered bitch, who just can’t seem to mind her own business...”

“Aaliyah...honey that is not true...you are a wonderful person, and everything that happened between us was because of me. It was because I was stupid, and didn’t noticed that I had a good thing. I just couldn’t make sense of everything...Just know that I’m very sorry ok?” He watched as Aaliyah nodded and smiled as he kissed her on her forehead. “I love you...”

“I love you too...”

~*The next day*~

“Well you two, the baby looks healthy. You have a healthy little girl on your hands.” Dr. Wilson smiled and looked at Aaliyah and Drew. “So are you two ready. Any day now...Your wedding is tomorrow. How are you feeling?”

“Nervous.” Aaliyah laughed and shrugged slightly. “Very, very nervous.”

“Well I’m feeling good, I’m pretty excited. I just hope everything goes fine, and that Aaliyah is fine, and everything will be great.” Drew said and planted a kiss on Aaliyah’s forehead.

Dr. Wilson smiled and nodded. “You two are going to make great parents, Aaliyah is already a great mother, so we know that this little girl will be in good hands.”

“Thank you...” Aaliyah blushed slightly and looked down at her feet. “Well I guess we’ll be seeing you this week?”

“Of course...” She smiled and hugged her. “Tell everyone I said hi ok?”

“Ok,” Aaliyah smiled as she stood up and held Drew’s hand. “So, where are we off to now?”

“Anywhere you want to go...”

“Anywhere?” Aaliyah asked and kissed him softly.

“Anywhere...”

~*Later That Night*~

“Girls! I’m back!” Aaliyah said as she dropped her bag on the floor by the door and walked into the kitchen where she smiled at the little note written on the top of the pizza box. “We left you some pizza...it’s in the fridge in a zippy.” Aaliyah smiled and threw the box in the trash can and peeked into the living room where Stephanie and Catalina were curled up on the couch asleep. Seeing them like that brought a smiled directly to her face. There was something about that made her smile, she didn’t know quite what, but she knew that it was something good. She went into a closet and grabbed a few blankets and spread them over them. She shook her head as she started up the stairs and laughed slightly. For some reason knowing the she was getting married tomorrow had made her laugh. I guess it was just a reaction to the look on Justin’s face every time she says wedding. Something about that look... She shrugged slightly and went upstairs and pulled on her pajama’s and went straight to bed. She had a long day ahead of her tomorrow.
