Chapter 5*~

~*1 Year Later*~

“You two are gonna be sick later. I’m telling you. And Li you should know first hand what happens when you eat all that ice-cream.” Justin walked past the kitchen.

Beyonce laughed and looked at Aaliyah. “Was he always this damn nosey?”

“Sadly enough, yes.” Aaliyah laughed and shrugged. “That’s Jay for ya.” She sat the spoon in the sink and sighed. “Who would have ever thought of us three being in the same house.”

“I know, it’s weird isn’t it?” Beyonce laughed. “I really enjoy your company actually. I thought that you were so pissed off at me, that you wouldn’t even make eye contact with me.”

“Really? Nah, I was never really super pissed off at you, but I was pissed off with Justin.”

“Yeah that’s true!” Justin yelled from the other room with a slight laugh. “She was gonna throw my ass out a window.”

Beyonce and Aaliyah looked at each other and started laughing hysterically.

“Oh so you find that funny? She could have killed me.”

“And the world would have been a much better place.” Aaliyah laughed and gave Beyonce a hug. “I gotta get going you two. I have a music video to shoot and then I also have rehearsals for my performance at the VMA’s so I’ll see you two later.”

“Aww do you have to go??” Beyonce laughed and looked at her. “Don’t leave me with him...”

“I heard that!” Justin yelled and heard the laughter in the other room.

“Be careful ok? Don’t rush and get into some trouble.” Justin said and kissed her on her forehead.

“I won’t. I’ll be fine, Carmen won’t let me drive fast anyway. Damn her.” Aaliyah smiled. “See you two.”

Justin smiled as she left. Seeing her in a much better mood than what she was in a few months earlier had brought a smile to his face. She was a good girl, and deserved the best of everything. She deserved to be happy again.

~*2 days later*~

“Singing A Classic, here is Aaliyah!”

The crowd clapped and the music started slow. Aaliyah laid across the piano in a red lace gown with a red rose laced through her long ponytails. “My funny valentine, Sweet...comic valentine, You make me smile with my heart, Your looks are laughable, un photographable, Yet you're my favorite work of art...”

Justin sat in the front row completely in shock. She was always beautiful but she made it very obvious right then. He watched as she smiled softly and continued on with the song.

“Is your figure less than Greek, Is your mouth a little bit weak, When you open it to speak, are you smart...” Everybody stood up as she hit the high notes and clapped. It had been awhile since she sang this song. She sang it back when she was eleven back on star search, where she happened to lose. Well she wasn’t losing at this moment. “Don't, baby don't, Don't change you hair for me, Not if you care for me, Stay little valentine stay, Each day is valentine's, Each day is valentine's day... Stay little valentine stay, stay, stay, Each day is valentine's, Each day is valentine's day, Valentine's day...” Aaliyah stepped down from off the piano and curtsied before walking off stage. She could still hear the crowd cheering, and it made her feel really good about herself. She hugged Catalina and laughed. “So what did you think?”

“You were hot mommy!” She laughed and hugged her.

“Thanks Cat.” She held her hand and smiled. “So are you ready to go out on stage?”

          “Yes ma’am.”

          “Alright let’s go...”

“Everybody welcome Ms. Aaliyah Haughton and little miss Catalina Timberlake.”

“Hey everybody!” Aaliyah smiled and waved at everybody as she looked down at Cat. “Wasn’t there someone you wanted to say hi to Cat?”

“Yes. Hi daddy!” Catalina laughed and watched as Justin stood up and blew her kiss. There were thousands of awes and she laughed.

“So, MTV sent you out to talk to a few celebs before the show. Did you have much luck?” Aaliyah asked and looked down at Catalina.

“Actually I did.” She smiled and shrugged. “Why don’t we see who I got to talk to?”

          “Sounds like a good idea.”

“So we’re here with my step mother, Beyonce. So anyway how are you?”

“I’m really good Cat. I see they already gave you a job, and you’re only six. I could never get a job at six.” Beyonce laughed and looked at her.

“Yeah, they said that they thought I was really cute, and could get anybody to talk to me...”

“Ah I see. Sounds reasonable. So by the way how much are they payin you for this?”

Catalina whispered in her ear and laughed as her mouth dropped open.

“Really? Man I don’t even get paid that much! Hey!”

“So by the way, how much are they paying you Catalina?” Aaliyah asked as everyone in the audience laughed.

“Enough mommy, enough. Anyway moving on. We ran into my daddy also. He’s always fun to talk to.”

“So we’re here with my daddy, Justin Timberlake, who my mommy tried to throw out of the window...” Catalina laughed.

“See you three find it funny that I could have fallen out a window and died. That’s because all three of you are evil. You, your mother, and Beyonce.” Justin laughed and kissed her on her forehead. “But for real, how did you get this job?”

“Why is everyone trying to figure that out?”

“I don’t know, I guess to see what we did wrong. I mean we know you get your amazingly good looks from me...Ok Liyah don’t kill me please!” Justin yelled as Aaliyah walked in and started playfully choking him. “Not the window!!!! Not the window!!!”

Catalina shook her head and shrugged. “I have the worlds craziest parents, I swear both of you are kind of messed up in the head.” She laughed and sighed. “But I love you all anyway.”

“That’s good to know, since we love you too. So you didn’t just talk to us did you?”

“Oh no, I talked to a lot of people, but you have to stick around to see who else I talked to.”

“Ah, I see...So we’ll stick around to see ok?”

          “Ok sounds good to me!”
