Anthony Hopkins stars as Wallace, a corporate downsizer. Wallace is called in to find ways to cut corners in a small Australian company. The more he learns about the employees and the easy going atmosphere of the company, the more he begins to question his own "normal" existence. Russell plays the small, but memorable role of Kim, who wants to marry the boss's daughter, Wendy (Toni Collette).

The Efficiency Expert, was orginally released as Spotswood.  It is an Australian made movie starring Anthony Hopkins, one of the supporting actors is a young Russell Crowe.  His screen time in this is limited but memorable, he managed to hold his own in one on one scenes with Hopkins, and that is saying a lot for any actor.  Hopkins has been quoted as saying "He reminds me of a young man I once knew, me."
