Lager-loving
actor Russell Crowe has lashed out
again.
This
week's victim is an Aussie newspaper that published a
list of Australia's top 100 homes. Crowe's luxury
villa was number 16 - but that's not the problem.
His
rage stems from the paper stupidly printing his
address which he - quite understandably - fears is a
security risk.
So,
in true combative style Crowe, who played Maximus in
Gladiator, rang the paper and gave the editor a
rollocking.
Crowe
bought his £6million lovenest from Lachlan
Murdoch to share with on/off girlfriend Danielle
Spencer, 32, and is allegedly concerned for
her security when he's away filming. Despite this, he
declared on Entertainment Tonight: "I'm still
looking for my life partner".
So
is Crowe worried about Spencer or did he just skip a
few anger-management classes? Answers on a postcard
please.

It
has been a busy week for Love Bites. What with the Sven
and Ulrika
shenanigans, Tom
and Pen
proving they are still together, as are, against all the odds,
Russell
Crowe and Danielle Spencer. Who would have thought a
Russell relationship would last so long? To prove what a good
boyfriend the thunder from down under really is, he's been
lending his weighty support to Danielle's fledgling pop career
by offering himself as a dinner date for one lucky fan. And
Danielle's agreed – not even Ulrika would have fallen for
that one. -- PeopleNews.com |

SOMETHING
TO CROWE ABOUT
Mike Walker reports in The National Enquirer that when
Oscar®-winner Russell Crowe, 38, ("Rough Magic")
popped in at the pre-Oscar party for "A Beautiful
Mind" at Spago in Beverly Hills, the cranky Aussie
belligerently belittled waiters for not having a special menu
from which he could chose his grub. Management figured they
could soften the sod by replacing the boys with wait staff of
the fairer sex. But nothing seemed to placate Crowe as he kept
ranting, "Don't you know who I am?" ultimately
reducing two of the girls to tears. Then when he sauntered off
to the crowded men's room and was forced to stand before the
urinal built for boys, he was overheard saying, "Who's
this for, Danny DeVito?"

An Austin man could go to
prison for a year and pay a $100,000 fine for online sales of
copyrighted songs by actor Russell Crowe's band, which were
recorded at a concert, federal prosecutors say. Billy Joe
Acosta pleaded guilty last week to one count of copyright
infringement for distributing music by the band, Thirty Odd
Foot of Grunts, on the Internet, the U.S. Attorney for
Northern California said in a news release. In a plea bargain,
Mr. Acosta said he tried to sell at least 10 recorded copies
of a live performance in Austin on Aug. 4, 2000, on eBay and
Yahoo Web auctions. -- .dallasnews.com |

Russell
Crowe may be landing on the shores of Ridley
Scott's Tripoli. The actor is in discussions to
reunite with his Gladiator director in another
big-budget period epic. This time, Crowe would portray William
Eaton, an American who assisted the rightful heir to the
throne of Tripoli in overthrowing a corrupt ruler in the early
19th century. Filming is scheduled to begin this fall.

Crowe has been suspended until June due to concerns over

Finally, it's been two weeks and I still haven't gotten an
apology from Russell Crowe after our "encounter" at
the Oscars. Foxlight fans recall Mr. Congeniality and I had
words after I asked if his bad behavior was going to cost A
Beautiful Mind any Oscars. Here's the replay. SOT:
"My bad behavior? What about your bad behavior. Who
dressed you?" (freeze) Who dressed me? Is that the best
comeback you can come up with, Crowe-magnon? For the record,
Arnold Brant dresses me — but weren't we all in tuxes that
night?--Bill McCuddy

What
happened to Russell Crowe’s pants? The actor borrowed
a tux from Giorgio Armani for the Oscars, but makeup artist
Bruce Grayson writes in Entertainment Weekly that Crowe came
backstage shortly before 9 p.m. asking to have his pants
safety-pinned because they were “a size too big.” Did
Crowe shed a few pounds from not eating in the days before the
ceremony? Not likely, an Armani spokeswoman tells the Scoop
the actor came into the shop a few days before the awards for
his fitting. Crowe’s spokeswoman didn’t return calls, but
the Scoop will try to get to the bottom of this epic story.--
