..::Frequently Asked Questions::..
Q. What's the main rule?
A. Do not refresh/reload the pages continuously because it wastes bandwidth and shuts the site down. Links open in new windows, so please leave the main pages open while you surf!
Q. What's with the "Tinny & Odd" name? Are you making fun of Nathan or something?
A. Of course not! We adore Nathan! The "Tinny & Odd" thing--which, by the way, is pronounced tin-nee, with a short "i", not tie-nee, with a long "i"--came from Nathan's own words. In Recording The Producers, he was having trouble with his mic and headphones, and he said, "This is really strange. I mean, it sounds, it just sounds tinny and....odd. I don't know why. Maybe *I* sound tinny & odd. Tinny & Odd! I have all their albums!" Hence, the name of this site.
Q. Does Nathan run this website?
A. No. It's run by Lisa and Annica. He has nothing to do with it. Although, we gladly welcome him to contribute! Hey, we can dream.
Q. Can I use some of your sounds/photos/etc.?
A. Hm, no. All the photos and sounds on this site were made by the site owners and a LOT of time was put into making, saving, editing, resaving, uploading, HTML coding, etc. We didn't take anyone else's hard work, so we expect the same courtesy. If people can find them all over the web, then why bother coming here? Plus, most people don't even give credit.
Q. Where do you find all those photos and sounds?
A. By using a video card and caputring the photos from a VCR tape, DVD or straight from the Tv. The sounds were made with a microphone coming from the stereo, held up to the microphone on the computer, which is why they aren't the best quality, but they're good enough.
Q. What's Nathan's address/phone number/eMail address/etc.?
A. We're not his agent. If we knew, I'm sure it'd be in confidance, so we wouldn't be telling the entire web population.
Q. Have you ever met Nathan?
A. Not yet, but hopefully it would be a chance meeting and not some pre-planned autograph attack. The guy is human and shouldn't be bothered with such approaches.
Q. What is Angus McIndoe and what does it have to do with Nathan?
A. It's a restaurant and Nathan and Matthew Broderick are two of the big-name investors. Contact info: 258 West 44th St between Broadway and Eighth Ave (212-221-9222). Subway: A, C, E to 42nd St–Port Authority; N, Q, R, W, 42nd St S, 1, 2, 3, 7 to 42nd St–Times Square. Lunch, dinner. Average main course: $18.
Q. Is Nathan gay?
A. Would it make a difference? It's quite annoying to read reviews about him and see people saying he did a good or bad job in a play/show/movie because of his sexuality. That has, and shouldn't have, anything to do with anything to anyone other than Nathan. But, to quote him from US Magazine, "Look, I'm 40, I'm single, and I work in the musical theater; you do the math. What do you need, flashcards?"
Q. If Nathan being gay is no big deal and nobody's business but his, then why do you have links to articles about it?
A. So people who keep debating the issue can see for themselves. Just because we put up links to things doesn't mean we have to support the author of the article/site, either. We just put up links that we find about Nathan for people to check out. We adore Nathan NO matter what.
Q. What can I do to help the site?
A. You can sign the guestbook and/or leave posts on the tag-board on the right side of the Main page. It lets us know that people are enjoying the site, and also lets us know to keep updating. We also rely on trades. When we run out of things, we can't make updates until we get some more new things. We can provide refrences from others who have leant us things and who haven't had any problems with getting them back.
Q. Can I link to your site?
A. Of course! Please use the https://www.angelfire.com/celeb2/nathanlane address, as it is the main page, and not https://www.angelfire.com/celeb2/nathanlane/albert.html.
Q. I came here before and the site was suspended. What's up with that?
A. That's because people choose to ignore our request that you don't reload/refresh the page a lot. When you come to this site, leave the main page open, that way you can just click the links and go where you wanna go without refreshing the page (which contains a lot of data) and wasting space/bandwidth. Angelfire is a free site, meaning we only have so much free space, and if you continue to reload the pages with heavy text/graphics, the site will go over it's limit and shut down. Links open in new windows. Just leave the major pages (main, photos, etc.) open, rather than closing them and going right back to them, again.
