The Scoop: The latest Calvin Klein jeans and underwear icon grew up in rural Australia, the youngest of 3 sons of Chris, a cattle farmer, and Jennie, a nurse. After a 2-year tour of Asia and Europe, he strode barefoot into an L.A. modeling agency a year and a half ago. Soon steamy billboards of Fimmel in his Calvins were literally stopping traffic (officials removed one from a busy London intersection, citing safety concerns). He's studying acting now, he says, because "I love being an idiot, and acting lets you be an idiot."
In His Own Words: "Its hard to live up to those photos," he says. "It isn't all really me. Thand God for computer editing and special camera lenses and lighting."
The Ideal Woman: "There's nothing better than an attractive woman who doesn't act attractive," Fimmel says. He also wants someone who likes to travel and doesn't take herself too seriously, and has devised a test for his dream date. "Maybe I'd throw a piece of food at her in a restraunt to see what she'd do. I'd love it if she threw it back."
What a Catch: "You will be charmed by him," says his acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. "He makes you laugh, and he is very open and very smart."
